Wool Weavings

Ruth applies her personal colour aesthetic using an array of different yarns and threads of varying texture to create a random 3D effect.

Hand-formed earthenware beads combined with plush textures of wool, mohair and cotton yarns adorn the soft hangings. In some works other materials are incorporated - leather, pottery, shells, driftwood or other found elements from nature.
